WHAT IS TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH?
Total War: PHARAOH is the newest entry in the award-winning grand strategy series from the developers at Creative Assembly. Experience Ancient Egypt during the vibrant and tumultuous era of the Bronze Age Collapse and master dynamic real-time battles and turn-based empire management to rise above your adversaries and become Egypt’s last great Pharaoh.
WHEN WILL TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH BE RELEASED?
Total War: PHARAOH will hit (digital) shelves on October 11th 2023 at 15:00 BST / 10:00 EDT / 22:00 CST.
WHAT PLAYABLE FACTIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT LAUNCH?
The base game contains eight playable factions from three diverse cultures:
- Egyptian: Ramesses, Seti, Tausret, Amenmesse
- Canaanite: Bay and Irsu
- Hittite: Kurunta and Suppiluliuma
WHERE CAN I PLAY TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Total War: PHARAOH will be released for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Three versions will be available at launch:
- Base Game: £49.99 / $59.99 / €59.99
- Deluxe Edition: £61.17 / $72.87 / €72.87
- Dynasty Edition: £77.96 / $91.46 / €91.46
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DELUXE AND DYNASTY EDITIONS?
In addition to the base game, there are two digital bundles for Total War: PHARAOH available for pre-order on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
The Deluxe Edition contains:
- Total War: PHARAOH base game
- DLC Faction Pack 1
- Digital Soundtrack
The Dynasty Edition contains:
- Total War: PHARAOH base game
- DLC Faction Pack 1
- DLC Faction Pack 2
- DLC Faction Pack 3

Compared to paying full price for each individual item, the Deluxe Edition offers players a 10% discount and the Dynasty Edition offers a 25% discount.
The DLC packs will be released as part of the post-launch content roadmap. Details of this roadmap will be provided at a later date.
WHAT DO I GET IF I PRE-ORDER THE GAME?
If you pre-order Total War: PHARAOH now, you will be able to take part in an exclusive Early Access Weekend before the game is released. You will also receive the Avatar of the Gods Cosmetic Pack and Heart of the Shardana Cosmetic Pack for the full game.
The Avatar of the Gods Cosmetic Pack contains a unique skin for each playable faction leader (eight in total) and the Heart of the Shardana Cosmetic Pack contains unique Sherden outfits for bodyguard units. These will be available on release of Total War: PHARAOH. The Cosmetic Pack pre-order bonus offer will be available up until one week after release.
WHAT IS THE EARLY ACCESS WEEKEND?
Included as a pre-order bonus, the Early Access Weekend allows you to venture into the stunning world of Total War: PHARAOH from Friday September 29th until Monday October 2nd, ahead of the game’s full release on October 11th.
It’s an exciting opportunity for you to enjoy a carefully curated slice of the game including two playable factions from different cultures, a selection of Ancient Legacies, the full campaign map as well as all battle mechanics and most campaign mechanics. The campaign is playable for up to 60 turns, and can can be replayed as often as you like throughout the Early Access Weekend.
This is the first time we’re offering a pre-order bonus like this and we’re proud to give you the chance to try part of the game a little earlier! We’re currently focusing all available energy on polishing and delivering a smooth and enjoyable launch, so do not think of this as a beta test – although of course, if you should happen to encounter a serious bug or issue, please do let us know!

During the Early Access Weekend, you will be able to play:
- Up to 60 turns, which you can replay as many times as you like
- Two playable factions: Ramesses (Egyptian) and Irsu (Canaanite)
- Two Egyptian Ancient Legacies (from a total of four): Khufu and Akhenaten
- Two Hittite Ancient Legacies: Tudhaliya and Muwatali
- Full access to all battle mechanics, the entire campaign map and Photomode capabilities
- Egyptian and Hittite Royal Traditions
- Custom battles
The Early Access Weekend is available on both the Steam and Epic Store PC platforms for Windows only. It is not available for Mac.
Please note that online multiplayer will not be available and save files are not transferable to the full release version of Total War: PHARAOH.
HOW DO I PLAY THE EARLY ACCESS WEEKEND?
- If you have pre-ordered Total War: PHARAOH, the Early Access Weekend application will be automatically added to your respective Steam or Epic Store games library prior to the event starting.
- The application can be downloaded once the event begins on Friday September 29th 13:00 BST / 08:00 EDT / 20:00 CST.
- An internet connection will be required to download the application.
- The download requires 50GB of storage space for installation.
- The event will end on Monday October 2nd at 13:00 BST / 08:00 EDT / 20:00 CST after which time the application will no longer be playable.

WILL THERE BE A PHYSICAL EDITION?
Yes, there will be a physical standard edition available at select retailers that includes a digital download code for Total War: PHARAOH, the Avatar of the Gods Cosmetic Pack and the Heart of the Shardana Cosmetic Pack, plus a printed double-sided poster.
The physical edition launches on October 23rd 2023 at select retailers in Europe. The digital download code is applicable for Steam only.
WHAT LANGUAGES WILL TOTAL WAR: PHARAOH BE AVAILABLE IN?
- Text and subtitles will be available in: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Czech, Polish, Turkish, Korean, Portuguese (Brazilian), Simplified & Traditional Chinese.
- Full audio will be available in: English, German and Mandarin.
- Partial audio will be available in: French, Italian, Spanish and Polish (this is for the advisor only).
WILL THE GAME HAVE MULTIPLAYER SUPPORT AT LAUNCH? WHAT ABOUT CROSS-PLAY?
Total War: PHARAOH offers two-player co-op and head-to-head mode. Steam and Epic users will have cross-play enabled.
WILL THE GAME BE RELEASED ON MAC?
Yes, the game will be released on Mac after the launch on PC, courtesy of Feral Interactive.
