We’re changing the way you sign in to the forums
We’re working hard to improve your experience on the forums and our first step is to upgrade your details to Total War Access. For us to give you the best service possible, and to support our future improvements to the forums, you’ll need Total War Access to sign in after 13th December 2016.
To guarantee that your forum history and activity will be carried over after the upgrade, you’ll need to keep your email or username the same as your forum details when registering for Total War Access.
Below are some FAQ’s if you want to know more about the process and how to preserve your forum history during the upgrade.

How do I upgrade to Total War Access?
At 3pm on 13th December, we’ll automatically sign you out of the forums. All you have to do is hit REGISTER on the homepage and follow the steps to get Total War Access.
…I’m a Total War Battles: KINGDOM or Total War: ARENA player.
If you’ve signed in to play Total War Battles: KINGDOM or Total War: ARENA with the same email you’ve used to sign in to the forums, then you already have Total War Access. On the homepage you just need to hit SIGN IN with those details and update them with a username to complete the upgrade. This username can be the one you currently have on the forums, or something entirely different. Any changes you make to your username will be updated across your forum activity.
How do I preserve my forum history and activity during the upgrade?
To make sure your forum activity is the same as when you left it, please use the same email address and/or username when registering for Total War Access. We need at least one of these things to transfer your forum details.
Can I change my username?
Yes, but to preserve your forum activity during the upgrade please use the same email address as you do currently to sign in to the forums. Any changes you make to your username will be updated across all of your forum activity.
Can I change my email address during the upgrade?
Yes, but you’ll need to use the same username that you currently have on the forums to preserve your forum activity. After the upgrade, your new email will be the way you sign to the forums.
What if someone wants to take my username?
Don’t worry, this isn’t possible. If a username is already attached to an email address, you’ll be asked to enter your password on the ‘Total War Access Connect’ page to confirm it’s yours during the upgrade.
Do I have to upgrade to Total War Access?
We want all of our users to get the best experience they can out of the forums. Upgrading your details now will save you (and us!) problems in the future as we develop the forums, and it means you can get the latest Total War news and sneak peaks on upcoming content sent directly to your inbox.
